Besides that, two real buttons that can also be used are located above the touch-sensitive surface. That requires a bit of familiarization but works well afterward. Why the buttons have been placed above the ClickPad?
Because they actually belong to the TrackPoint that is also installed. Symbols which allow disabling the touchpad or opening "Toshiba Eco Utility" are found in both upper corners.
Double tapping triggers both and functions very reliably.
