These connectors are designed specifically for use with Supermicro server chassis. See the figure below for the descriptions of the various control panel buttons and LED indicators.

The mouse port is above the keyboard port.

This connection allows your computer to "wale up" when receiving an incoming call to the modem when the system is in the suspend state. You must have a Wake-On-Ring card and a cable to use this feature.

This port accepts RJ45 type cables. See the table on the right for speaker pin definitions. The speaker connector pins are for use with an external speaker.

If you wish to use the onboard speaker, you should close pins with a jumper. These headers allow you to use the onboard sound for audio CD playback. Connect the audio cable from your CD drive to the header that fits your cable's connector.

Only one CD header can be used at a time. See the tables at right for pin definitions. Front Audio Output Header: Jumpers create shorts between two pins to change the function of the connector.

Pin 1 is identified with a square solder pad on the printed circuit board. See the motherboard layout pages for jumper locations. On two pin jumpers, "Closed" means the jumper is on and "Open" means the jumper is off the pins. See the table on the right for jumper settings.

The default setting is enabled. Instead of pins, this "jumper" consists of contact pads to prevent the accidental clearing of CMOS.

To clear CMOS, use a metal object such as a small screwdriver to touch both pads at the same time to short the connection. Close Pins to reset the system when an application hangs.

Close pins to generate a non-maskable interrupt signal for the application that hangs. When enabled, the user needs to write their own application software in order to disable the Watch Dog Timer.
